Chasing the Tail

// January 8th, 2010 // 3 Comments » // Thirsty Traveler

Had a pleasure to fish in Hervey Bay during my road trip around Australia. That’s something similar to Florida Keys in America. Endless sand flats,clear water and heaps of fish. Golden Trevally is the main fly fishermen target during summer period. To see those fish tailing (when they’re feeding you can see their fins sticking out of the water) in the shallow water is just an amazing feeling. What you’ve got to do is just cast something similar to crab or shrimp in front of fish’s nose and pray for the take. And if it’s happens that’s where most of the fun starts!
